Anglet’s sea front, five km of beaches near to the forest of Chiberta.Several have lifeguards between 10 am and 7 pm from June 15th till September 15th.Remember that you must swim between the blue flags, the limits, and obey to the lifeguards recommandations.

Saint Jean de Luz, Ciboure and Hendaye (between 15 and 25 km from the gite) : nice fishing and sailing ports.Beautiful basque houses.Enjoy the Adam’s House famous macaroons.Discover views of the Pyrennees and the Ocean by taking the Route de la Corniche between Saint Jean de Luz and Hendaye.You will also be able to enjoy Irun in Spain by taking a small boat (la navette) : walks, tapas, paseo, restaurants.Nautical feel guaranteed and trip back on the night boat (careful with the timetable !).
Saint Sebastien - Donostia : beaches, port, arenas, old roads around the Plaza de la Constitucion, spanish feel and much appreciated night life. Pamplelune - Irune : very hot during summer evenings, the town wakes up by 7pm.During the San Fermines (the city’s famous street parties) starting from July the 7th till the 14th, you can take special buses rom Bayonne to take you there. Bull fights, old town. The Navarre, situated a 130km away, is beautiful during all seasons.They is also a desert, the Bardenas, which must be discovered by VTT amateurs or by walkers (South of the Navarre starting from Tudela).
Bilbao : count an hour and a half of driving to discover the biggest town of the Pays Basque.Check out the Guggenheim Museum, the Beaux Arts Museum and the nautical museum which recalls the strategic plotting and the nautical history of this town.
Bordeaux : situated a 180 km, about 1h45 of driving, but all worth it !The town has the biggest and most prestigious vineyard of the world.It is also a city of a great elegant architecture.

Situated really near from Bassussary are the amazing villages of Sare, Itxassou and its cherries, Ainhoa, Espelette and its peppers, or the city of Saint Jean Pied de Port (Donibane Garazi) which you can discover by car or train after fithty minutes (our recommandation).Also, the path of Saint Jacques de Compostelle, the vineyard of Irouleguy, the halt of Ronceveaux, Baigorry, are sites who evoke the important historic sequences of this region of mountains and red earths.
